However, we do not have anyone from my family there, so need some help for wedding halls, marriage venues, good caterers, etc.

hi

although i'm not living in amritsar but as i'm getting merried in ASR soon as well.... I'd suggest you to book with hotel M.K of GRAND LEGACY (www.grandlegacy.net)... for good services.
If you require any other info, i'd be happy to help...as basically i'm an amritsaria

n a lot of my family & friends live in ASR...

Hi Roma,

Congrtas that you will be joing the Amritsari family. Well the decent places to get married are MK Hotel, Hotel Mohan International, Hotel Grand Legacy
The Hotels provide catering facility as well i.e. they offer per plate rate according to no. of guests. So u need not to worry about catering, drinks, decoration. Do mail me at infoasr@gmail.com if I can be of any help
